I went for adik baby’s first hospital appointment yesterday noon. It was with the same hospital except this time it wasn’t at the Birth Centre, it was at the main hospital of KEMH, where I previously gave birth to Adrian.
I planned to give birth to Adrian at the Birth Centre but enexpected things happened, tu pasal I was being pushed to the main hospital. At first I thought with adik baby’s appointments, it will be held at the same place I had with Adrian’s last time but I thought wrong. Because of my history, I couldn’t possible be transferred to Birth Centre.
The checkup memang exactly sama macam Adrian dulu, where first appointment mainly banyak interview on your family history, your medications, what should I do, what to do, what options available for me etc. Routine sama cuma tempat je berbeza. It was in fact at the Ward 4, where I used to stay for exactly 7 days dulu, Room 29. I walked pass the room, then all memories came back to me again. The bittersweet memories. Pape hal pun I am just glad that me and Adrian is all ok now.
Anyway, midwife Catherine told me at 32 weeks doctor will discuss with me with what birthing method is suitable for me whether it’s csect or normal. Scary bila fikir bab csect or maybe I’m just not ready to hear about it or maybe this time I’m hoping to give birth normally but without the help of epidural, if God wills, inshallah. The first appointment were supposed to be held during my week 20 but since I got the appointment date earlier, and only later I knew the exact date of my EDD. Bila nak tukar appointment ke week 20, they said its fine, I can just come in at 16 weeks. So now midwife hanya tunggu my fetal anatomy scan yang kena buat between 18-20 weeks.
I’ve just booked my fetal anatomy scan at 11th feb masa 20 weeks. So I’ve another 4 weeks to know what my baby’s gender is. Tak sabar ok! Tak sabar nak tahu adik baby ni baby apa. I’m grinning ear to ear.
At 16 weeks, my current weight somewhere between 55-56 kg. berat tak tetap. Masa Catherine letak dopple on my tummy to hear adik baby’s heartbeat, Adrian came to me and put his hand on my tummy to pat. As if dia nak protect the baby or nak cakap “mummy, it’s ok, Adrian is here with you”. Serious touching gile tengok Adrian buat macam tu.
Tengok Adrian buat macam tu, makes me cry sebab happy. Tengok anak yang dulu dalam tummy now dah besar & faham banyak benda. In fact, he’s a loving brother. Memanglah dia asyik nak seat on my tummy la, roll on me etc tapi kadang tanpa disuruh, he’ll kiss adik baby and dia macam tau dia nak dapat adik. Ya allah, these things makes me the happiest mummy in the world. Thank you Allah.
