Baby Alexis

>Last Friday along with Adrian’s first birthday, kalau ikut Islamic calendar lah, baby Alexis was born too at 8 in the morning. The labour only last for 3 hours. I am soooo jealous of her because of the short labour, mine was nearly to 40 hours.

Anyway, we went to see my dear cousin in law in Family Birth Center in King Edward. Alexis looks tiny but believe it or not she’s 4 kilos ok.

Adrian on the other hand surprised everyone there. He was usually the shy type, he hates strangers and wouldn’t allow strangers to even stare at him. He was very unusual that day. He laugh, mumbling and yell a lot. He talks to everyone, let stranger carries him. I think, he wants attention. He knows there’s another baby everyone would look to. It’s like he’s trying to show everyone “I’m a baby too”.

There’s this one time when baby Alexis cried, her mum picked her up and soothe her down, Adrian went to Dionne, the baby’s mother to see the baby and pat her cheek. Awwww. Adrian is so adorable! He’s an angel! You want a baby brother/sister is it? Na ah, for the time being, no. But in 2,3 years, yes.

Send him to the playgym and swimming class memang worth it lah. Not only now he able to accept other people around him, he also learn to socialize more with other baby. This is good for him to learn to speak English too.

My husband kept telling me to speak English with him because he sometimes find Adrian a bit confusing when his teacher talks to him in English. I was like, noooooo. He’s gonna learn English in school anyway later. It’s not like we’re only gonna be living here for couple years and if I didn’t talk to him in Malay, who would? I want my son to at least understand and speak basic Malay. I don’t expect him to write, speak and understand is ok.

Looks like I’ve to brush up my Malay grammar from now on. I’m the next Malay language teacher to my son ;) cool aite!
