>At what age do you guys have your own email address? I’ve mine when I was 13 or 14. I remember back in the states where mom introduce me to the world of Internet. I didn’t know what it was, or the purpose of having it. But I did remember following my mum to her university’s computer lab and surf Disney’s website (I’ve no clue how I ended up on that page). We use internet to email my grandparents back in TTDI.
After back from the states, my mom subscribe the Internet when I was in late form 1 sebab taknak anaknnya ke cyber cafe (I guess). I remember having email and feeling so alone because I’ve no friends or relatives having one apart from my sisters. I use the Internet to look for lyrics & print them.
Back then my email was messymarvinus@yahoo.com. The word messymarvinus came from messymarvin, Nick Carter the BSB nickname. I was his die hard fan. Pffft. WAS ok.
Other than searching for lyrics I also emailing with my teachers back in States. Cakap pasal email or Internet to my friends or relatives masa tu semua macam buat don’t know je.
Im glad my mama introduce this to us at an early age. Thank you mama.
Oh yeah, a year before arwah atuk passed away, he also learn to use the Internet to read news & YM-ing with his grandchildrens. It was very hard for him but he tried. For his age back then, I say he was awesome! I still have his YM id in mine, rindunya bila tengok nama atuk offline je. I created that account for him. I’ve forgotten the password, I wish I remember what it was so I could log on to it from time to time to keep it active. Arwah atuk memang suka learn new things, no wonder he’s a scholar.
