Blood Diamond

>Since we have a small baby, of course we couldn’t just leave him at home to go on a date night. We did have every Friday night or on the weekends but with lil bub tagging along. Our weekend routine is renting DVDs. I love it! We’ve never been to the movies ever since bub’s here; so this is the next best thing, without the popcorn though. Sometimes it takes us 3-4 nights to finish one movie. Just because once bub goes to sleep, we quickly goes to sleep too. Sleep is precious when you have a lil baby to take care of.

Last night we watched Blood Diamond. I prefer other actor than Leonardo Di Caprio but what the heck, it’s just a movie.

It was a violent movie (to me). It shows you how cruel a man can be. Where you can kill your own people without the sense of humanity or even sense of unity in oneself. Greedy. When it comes to money, diamond, people loose control. It’s a sad thing knowing those things really exist in most people. Sometimes I wonder what do those innocent people feel, being in the situation where your life is at stake every minute, every hour.

That movie makes me feel how grateful I am being brought up in a country I love most, Malaysia. Of course there’s no perfect government in any country but I still do vote for the one. Since it is 31/8, I’m happy to shout, Selamat Hari Merdeka yang ke 53 Malaysia!
