I wrote in my earlier entry about selling my baby rex for a much cheaper car and i did advertised it in Quokka, a local advertisement newspaper except i only advertised it online. Yesternite after getting home from Freo i quickly checked my email whether they were any response or not and yes, they were. In fact i thought we were so lucky because we advertised this car for $12000 but this one guy who called himself “Derek Swin” offered to pay us $12500 and in a hurry of buying it. He didn’t even asked me to send him pics of the car but we did so out of courtesy. He introduced himself as a Petroleum engineer and working somewhere offshore and buying the car for his cousin in NZ. Since he doesn’t have any online banking, he told us he’ll be paying us via paypal and so we thought this is for real. I did have an account with paypal except it was registered under my Malaysian last name and so i had to create a new one with my current last name. He even told me one by one on how to receive payments by using paypal because i never use my paypal to receive payments except to pay my ebay transaction. I thought it was so nice of him.
And as he was about to make the payment he asked me whether i can help him paying an upfront of $750 for his agent in UK because he was currently offshore and didn’t bring his credit card to pay his agent via Western Union (online). I asked my cousin about this and he adviced us not to pay a single penny and make sure the $12500 (car) + $750 (agent) + 100 (something like admin fees) payment to my paypal has clear and only then i can help him.
I told him i did not want to do so because i’ve been scam about this before and he was feeling sorry (as if!) for me and forwarded me his passport pic for my security and here how he looks like:
Since i have created a new account with paypal, i have received several emails from paypal and i compared the authentic paypal email and the one he scam with. Can you see the “white-out” at the back of the name he created and the pic doesn’t match the Australian requirement for passport pic. I’m an Aussie Derek! and i know the background are not suppose to be black and you cannot show any teeth whatsoever in the picture. The code under his picture looks very blurry while his name looks very well typed.

While this one is looping from another gmail account which Mr. Swin had scam me with the $13k payment.
In his last email, he told me i was making this difficult and he had made the payment and it cannot be undo and he had just emailed paypal about this matter. Well, f*** you! I didn’t even receive the money for you to blackmailed me. I know if you make any payment via Western Union you can’t trace back whoever the receiver is and if i do help him, i’ll lose that $750 in a split second. We were lucky we had my cousin if not i don’t know what will happen but anyway, i cannot even afford to pay him an upfront of $750 even if he’s telling the truth.
